The favorite: Michigan State may only be a No. 2 seed, but the Spartans are considered the favorite by the online sportsbooks.
Regions: the tournament is broken down to four different regions (North, West, South, East) with 1 to 16 rankings.
Final Four: all four No.1 seeds have made it to the Final Four only once in the tournament’s history.
Upsets: upsets happen all the time and every year a few underdogs advance into the later rounds which gets the sports world riled up.
