March Madness 101: What You Need to Know About the NCAA Tournament

No one is really an expert when it comes to March Madness, so if you will be joining an office pool or ESPN bracket challenge, there is no need to be intimidated. The favorite: Michigan State may only be a No. 2 seed, but the Spartans are considered the favorite by the online sportsbooks.

 

Regions: the tournament is broken down to four different regions (North, West, South, East) with 1 to 16 rankings.

 

Final Four: all four No.1 seeds have made it to the Final Four only once in the tournament’s history.

 

Upsets: upsets happen all the time and every year a few underdogs advance into the later rounds which gets the sports world riled up.
