The Holidays are Here: Attend the Fourth Annual Plaza Navideña

Halloween is over, so let’s jump right into Christmas. Who’s ready for holiday festivals? The City of Santa Ana is ready to get things started with its Fourth Annual Plaza Navidena event. The festivities are set to take place on Saturday, November 19th at the Downtown Plaza Calle Cuatro on the corner of Fourth and French Streets.

The fun will include a tree lighting ceremony, live music and dancers, including a wonderful Mariachi band (this event already sounds awesome). Free refreshments and pintas will be provided along with a visit from the man himself, Santa Claus!

The free event starts at 5pm and will run until 8pm. If you are a cook, there will also be a “Best Tamale in Town” contest, so whip out those wonderful family recipes and show everyone in Santa Ana how great your tamales taste. http://www.ci.santa-ana.ca.us/parks/upcomingevents/ . Local vendors and food truck will also be in attendance, so bring some cash and a full stomach to enjoy this holiday event.
